I’m really looking forward to getting started with ISM and I’m delighted to sign with them.
International Sports Management has completed the signing of Chinese star golfer Ashun Wu.
The 33-year-old has been a leading figure in the emergence of Chinese golf over the last decade.
He became the first Chinese player to win three European Tour titles with his victory at the KLM Open earlier this year.
The first Chinese player to win on the Japan Golf Tour, Ashun collected his first European Tour win at the Volvo China Open in 2015, followed that up with success at the 2016 Lyoness Open and also represented China at The Olympics in Brazil two years ago.
He becomes the first Chinese player to be represented by ISM, who manage leading golfers including former Open champions Louis Oosthuizen and Darren Clarke and four-time European Tour winner Matt Wallace.
Ashun said: “I’m really looking forward to getting started with ISM and I’m delighted to sign with them.
“I’ve known Chubby Chandler and the team for a long time and I believe it will be the ideal partnership as I enter the next phase of my career.”
Chief Executive Officer Chubby Chandler, who established ISM in 1989, said: “Everyone at ISM is very happy to be working with Ashun.
“He’s really established himself over the last few years and has done so much for golf in China. I’m looking forward to seeing him continue his progress and it’s going to be an interesting partnership.”
