Jeev Milkha Singh continued his rise up the world rankings with another memorable finish in Miami - tied fourth behind Phil Mickelson at the CA WGC event over Doral's Blue Monster.
Jeev's dedication to his chosen profession is admirable and he acts as the perfect role model to all those wishing for a career in golf both in India and everywhere else. It is within his capabilities to become the first from the sub-continent to reach the world's top 10.
It would be no surprise to see Jeev challenging for the game's top honours this year although he can expect plenty of competition from his ISM stable-mates, four of whom also finished in the top 20 last week.
Behind Jeev in seventh place was one of our latest recruits, Thomas Aiken. The South African came to us last year and his Doral finish will have given him the confidence to move on and complete the greatest year of his career.
The spotlight fell well and truly on Rory McIlroy in Miami where everybody who saw or played with him paid him the utmost credit. Jim Furyk has seen just about everything in his career and he described Rory as 'scary good'. Praise indeed.
Rory was ready for a break after his three week stint in America, but he can feel proud of his tied 20th finish in Miami - a position also filled by Ernie Els and one of his Foundation graduates Louis Oosthuizen.
Our Augusta qualifiers will now be gearing all their efforts towards The US Masters - an event I am looking forward to with the greatest anticipation.
